With over 45 years of experience, Mike began his career working for a local tennis court contractor while pursuing civil engineering. His passion for seeing projects through from start to finish led him to co-found North State Resurfacing in 1990. Mike remains deeply involved in daily operations, from estimating and bookkeeping to on-site work, ensuring every project meets the company’s standards.
Outside of work, Mike enjoys gardening, cycling the Neuse River Trail, restoring his 1983 Mustang, playing guitar—including his grandfather’s 1927 Martin—and traveling throughout North Carolina.
Drew Alford, Vice President & Estimator
Drew Alford grew up working alongside his father, learning the business from the ground up.
After gaining experience in other industries, Drew returned to North State Resurfacing with a broader perspective and renewed appreciation for the work.
